We welcome the opportunity to give you the information you need to make the best possible decision about your Nose Job (Rhinoplasty).

Nose surgery (rhinoplasty) is one of the leading cosmetic procedures done in the United States particularly because the nose is the most prominent feature of your face. Your nose is what sets the harmony/balance of all your other facial features, particularly your eyes. You may feel your nose is too large, or too wide, or a you may have a hump. This common complaint can be heard from nearly fifty percent of the population. In Arizona Dr. Shapiro specializes in what is called a "Closed Approach Rhinoplasty". This rhinoplasty procedure leaves no external scars and there is no indication that you've ever had anything done to your nose. Even at the closest angles it is virtually impossible to even notice you had a rhinoplasty.

In Arizona a Nose Job (rhinoplasty), also referred to as nasal reshaping, can be performed at any age, as long as the growing process is complete. Both men and women, young and old, succumb to their desire to make changes to the shape of their nose with a Nose Job. Most people believe that by doing a rhinoplasty they will be making themselves look like someone else or will be getting someone else's nose. The main objective for a rhinoplasty is to enhance and balance your facial features. A rhinoplasty takes about one to two hours. The closed approach rhinoplasty is done under general anesthesia. After the rhinoplasty surgery the nose is packed for twenty-four hours, and a splint is worn for five to seven full days, then wore up to six weeks at night. Patients may resume most everyday activities within one week of their Nose Job (Rhinoplasty). Activities that need to be restricted during this six week period after your Nose Job include exercise, strenuous work, heavy lifting, swimming, and exposure to light.

Each year in Arizona thousands of men and women have rhinoplasty surgery and experience no major complications. As with any surgery Dr. Shapiro will review the risks and benefits of Rhinoplasty surgery, go over any medical conditions, past and present medications you may be taking including herbal products, over the counter medications and nutritional supplements.

It is our goal to give you the best Rhinoplasty results possible to enhance and balance your facial features.
